About us

Wight Tea Company is a growing tea brand bringing high-quality teas and handcrafted drinks to farmers markets, festivals, and special events across the region. As we expand our event presence, we're building out a small, reliable team  and we need a key person to lead the charge.

The role

You'll be the main contact and orchestrator behind markets & events. We'll handle logistics while you handle day-before prep at our commercial kitchen, ensure the crew and products are ready to go, and work the events. This role is for someone who is organized, thrives in the morning, loves talking with people, and is a tea-enthusiast.

Responsibilities

  • Customer engagement: greet market visitors, share the story behind our products, provide helpful, positive interactions.

  • Barista experience: Learn from our founders how to craft all of our signature teas to serve, hot and/or iced, at the market.

  • Sales & Transactions: Promote and sell boxes and pouches of loose leaf tea, tea bags, and tea accessories.

  • Prepare batched tea concentrates at our commercial kitchen in the evening prior to events.

  • Pick up ice and last-minute supplies ahead of events.

  • Coordinate and participate in event setup including load-in, and load-out.

  • Drive and operate a rented U-Haul to and from event locations.

  • Manage and support events staff on-site.

  • Maintain communication with ownership: you must be reachable and dependable.

  • Accurately handle both cash and card payments.

  • Stall Setup & Breakdown: Load, transport, assemble, and take down market stall materials.

  • Ensure the display is tidy, inviting, and well-stocked throughout the day.

Weekly Saturday farmers market, 5:30 AM–12:00 PM plus time for load-in/out. Additional events monthly or as scheduled. Mostly mornings, with some afternoon and evening events.
