Brittany Wight

Brittany is the founder and co-owner of Wight Tea Company.

Her tea journey didn't start the way you'd expect. She studied graphic design in college, but after graduating, she realized it just wasn't the right fit for her. While figuring out her next step, she took a job at a local tea shop, and that's where everything changed. She fell completely in love with tea: the history, the flavors, the ritual of it all. Every week, she'd bring home what she learned to share with her brother (7 years younger), who loved tea just as much as she did. That weekly tea talk became the foundation of their friendship, and eventually, of their business.

What started as the two of them blending teas for fun (at their mom's suggestion, actually!) has grown into Wight Tea Company: a small business they've now run together for over 10 years.

It hasn't always been easy. They've opened a café and made the hard choice to close it. They've dealt with packaging disasters, tight budgets, and all the ups and downs that come with building something from scratch without a safety net. But there have also been so many good moments: connecting with their community, growing their wholesale and online business, launching new products they're really proud of, and getting to do it all alongside an incredible team.

At the heart of it, Wight Tea has always been about connection. Between Brittany and her brother. Between them and their community. And between you and whatever's in your cup.
